All Doki releases will be available on Fileserve for DDL very soon, including files over 1 GB. Fileserve pays me for every download I get, and the money is used to purchase/extend the premium (which enables unlimited space and a max filesize of 2 GB) on Fileserve.

All Fileserve DDL links are available on http://anime.hologfx.com/, so look on there for our past releases.

I understand that not everyone can download successfully from Fileserve, and I am looking to find another filehost with a reasonable filesize limit (300 MB is not good enough) and preferably pays you for every download you get like Fileserve. If anyone has any suggestions, do let me know.

I am also looking for someone to help distro by providing a IRC XDCC bot. Let me know if you can help.

As for releases, I have 3 days off work from tomorrow, so expect a flood of releases over the next few days. Releases will include Campanella 08, Asobi 06, Air 13, Air in Summer, Qwaser 07 and more.

Imagine if Doki Fansubs disbanded. Everything would become dull. (not that we actually are disbanding XD)
Now imagine poor kids living in the Kenya, Nepal, Cambodia, and Laos (this is where the funds will go). Most of these kids don’t even have computers like us. That means that they wouldn’t have access to the internet, and they also wouldn’t know about anime. Iknowrite? How can someone NOT know about anime? These poor kids don’t even know how to SAY the word anime. /me sighs.

Next season I plan on doing 2 projects. Pic might or might not be related. My TLs are all unavailable (afaik) next season, so I am recruiting now.
At the moment I am not picky about Japanese or Chinese translators. Japanese translators will get preference, but I won’t be picky.

All applicants must satisfy the following.
1. Your English must be fluent enough so we can talk, and fluent enough so that the editor understands your script.
2. You translate for the entire season. Please don’t get kidnapped by fairies 3 weeks in.
3. You don’t take forever to translate. I aim to release TV shows within 48 (72 max) hours of them airing in Japan, so keep that in mind.
4. You are able to use IRC. You should try your best to idle as much as possible, but if not, at least be on for the duration that your script is being worked on.

Previous fansub experience preferred but not an requirement. Doki TLs get a lot of freedom – I can let you pick your own shows (within reason). A list of shows airing next season can be found at chartfag or at fansubwiki.

nt edit: We’re also in need of -reliable- (as in constant, dependable, that does not get kidnapped by fairies and sacrificed to the gods) Translation Checkers (TLCers), mainly for editing aid and general TLC.

I decided to make this post just to let everyone know we’re still working on all of our projects and none of them have been dropped (or will be dropped). We’re currently facing one of our accursed TL crisis, as jkidd, our TL for Seitokai Yakuindomo and Asobi ni Iku Yo!, suddenly disappeared last week.

Current Projects: These shows are being subbed as they air with TV Transport Streams.

Asobi ni Iku Yo!: Episode 04 is waiting on ED translation, after that is final QC and release.

Seitokai Yakuindomo: Episode 04-05 are being TLed.

Shukufuku no Campanella: Episode 06 hasn’t aired yet. This is the show least likely to get delayed, as ZeroYuki is the only consistent TL.

Ladies vs. Butlers Specials: Special 05 is being sorted out by Holo.

Old/Backlog Projects: These are old or backlogged projects. These will most likely wait for their respective DVD/BD releases.

Seikon no Qwaser: BD Vol.2 is at TLC/QC. BD Vol.3 is at Encode. Eps 17+ are awaiting translation by EdwardDFMA.

B Gata H Kei: Episodes 01-09 are mostly done script-wise. 10-12 are awaiting translation.

Kiss x Siss: BD Vol.1 is ready. BD Vol.2 is at Encode. Episodes 07+ are awaiting translation.

Mayoi Neko Overrun: BD Vol.1 is at Encode. Episode 06 is somehow still at editing. 07 is done. Episodes 08+ are awaiting translation.

Saki: 09+ are at Timing. Our timer for this show dramaquit for RL issues. Volunteers are welcome.

The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya: Episodes 6-24 are awaiting translation from Spicy-sama. (Spicy-sama was last seen here 20 days, 16 hours, 37 minutes ago. Yeah…)

Air: Holo just returned from China, and this is probably his new BD project.

We have a tendency to rely on a few staff members and when they are gone, the fansubbing process gets helplessly stalled. Today, I finished tling an episode and waited 12 hours before a timer is available. It is still subjected to more delays.

Onemanga will remove scanlations in a week’s time.

I actually read from Onemanga from time to time. I follow two shounen romance mangas; Kimi no Iru Machi and Good Ending. I wonder if any of you do too.

In anycase, I seriously doubt the closure of a couple of online manga sites will stop the piracy of manga. As far as it’s of concern, the scanlation groups still goes on doing their translations. It’s the same situation as with animes, even with crunchyroll or FUNimation licensing, irresponsible fansubs still pick them up. (Oops, we do crunchyroll animes too, lol)

Well, if any of you are wondering what the hell this random post is about, it’s just another random post. (I know I’m not answering the question) I think we seldom see such posts on Doki, I don’t know if this will waste server bandwidth or anything. But I got this urge to write something here to “reward” those who come visit our site.

I also might as well do a status update. Seitokai 03 is at TLQC. This is to ensure that the jokes are fully conveyed and shit will not be left out. It may (not) be out soon.  Asobi 02 is at Edit. (It’s supposed to be slow right?)

I also heard that Black Rock Shooter is going to be out in 2 days or so. Tony-san, our tler who agreed to do it is M.I.A for 18 days, 11 hours, 21 minutes. So you can probably guess our progress with B.Gata H Kei, and also in no way related Mayoi Neko Overrun.

Once again I am looking for more staff.

I am looking for a typesetter, who will be in charge of all typesetting for shows which have a lot of signs (Seitokai). Experience is necessary – please show me examples of things you have worked on before.

I am also looking for a translator who is capable of reading Kanji. You will be responsible for translating/helping with signs this season. You can also translate a show in future seasons
